Soleil La Antigua



The city of "Santiago de los Caballeros" was founded in March of 1543 and is situated on the base of a volcano; ANTIGUA GUATEMALA is a treasure chest of customs and traditions. King Felipe II confered the tittle of The Very Noble and The Very Loyal on Antigua in 1566 and since then its art and culture has radiated to the Americas.
This romantic city was created by the italian architect Juan Francisco Antonelli in 1542. Being the first planned city of the new world. Extraordinary architects like Diego de Porres, developed a creative spirit when incorporating to it the fountain of the Sirens in the Royal Park and colonial religius sculptures with remarkably influenced the buildings, churches, convents and residences are example of the Barroque architecture. This ancestral capital of the Colonial Spanish Empire in the Americas was declared a Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.

One of the buildings of Soleil La Antigua has been constructed with the characteristics of La Antigua constructions and it is located around a square with a garden and a fountain in the middle of the building.
